Just getting started on setting up a home theater/media extension, and became hooked on the http://www.hometheaternetwork.com/ site right away with the crunchy goodness presented by the block diagram.
Probably should have done my research first, but couldn’t wait to finally get an HD TV, for which I picked up a Samsung HL67A750. Only currently have a Motorolo DVR (from Comcast) and XBox360 hooked up, using component connectors for each.
Not sure if I’ll look into a receiver or a HTPC next, so will start a bit of research on each and see where it goes.

I have a Sony 550 blue ray player with an Ethernet port that is to hook up with the internet to download BD material and obtain firmware updates. I have a wireless home network but am not clear what to purchase to have the two communicate via an Ethernet connection (on the back of the Sony)….can anyone tell me what I need to purchase so that I can connect wirelessly to my home network?
